How It All Started: A Fishing Trip That Changed Everything
Three years ago, my life took a sharp turn—not on a golf course, but on a fishing trip in Wyoming.
I had signed up for a Refuge Foundation fishing retreat—just a chance to get away and unwind. But instead, that trip completely disrupted my spiritual trajectory.
What I experienced was so much more than an adventure. It was a reset. A recalibration. A chance to disconnect from the noise and hear God’s voice in a new way.
And that’s when I thought:
“How cool would it be to bring this opportunity to the golf world?”
That’s how Par F.O.R.E. Golf was born.

Why we don’t do hotels….
Most golf trips book hotels, where guys scatter, disconnect, and miss opportunities for real connection.
We intentionally stay in luxury vacation rentals because:
– It keeps us together—fostering deeper friendships and brotherhood.
– It creates a “safe” space for real fellowship.
– The Table Experience. This is the only prerequisite for joining a Par F.O.R.E. retreat: You can’t miss dinner at The Table. We need a space big enough for 12 men to sit together, eat together, and grow.
Golf Is a Stupid Game… But It’s the Perfect Teacher
Let’s face it—golf is a crazy game.
It’s the only sport where average men arrogantly compare themselves to professional athletes.
We’ve all done it. You hit one perfect shot once, and suddenly you think you’re in the same league as the world’s No. 1 golfer. It’s hilarious.
But here’s the thing: Golf is just like life.
The ball just sits there, motionless, minding its own business.
You’re the one who chooses to move it—from point A to point B. You do everything in your power to keep that ball in play!
And just like in life, some days you hit perfect shots—and most days you hit mediocre or bad ones.
How many times should we wake up in the morning and yell “FORE!” to those around us because we’ve lost control of our emotions, our words, or our actions?
That’s the reason “FORE” is in our name: Fellowship, Openness, Renewal, Eternal.
Because if we don’t yoke up with the right men—men who challenge us to grow, hold us accountable, and push us to be better—we’ll keep hacking our way through life, frustrated, and wondering why we can never reach our full potential.
